What does a software buyer ask?
In software, an AI answer is usually a short list: three to seven product names with a sentence each. The questions measured are the ones that produce that list. We suggest them after reading your site; you approve them. Typical patterns:
- Discovery: "What are the best project management tools for small teams?"
- Alternative: "Cheaper alternatives to X"
- Comparison: "X or Y, which is better for agencies?"
- Price: "Can you recommend a CRM under $50 a month?"
- Use case: "Accounting software that works with Shopify"
What do you see?
- For every question on every engine: was your product recommended, in which position, with which sentence.
- The products named most in your category and their share of voice; competitors that overtook you, appeared or dropped out. See competitor analysis.
- The pages the answers cite: "best X tools" lists, alternatives pages, review sites, software directories.
- The full answer text: which feature and which price AI uses to describe your product.

What work typically comes up for a software company?
- The product is missing from the cited "best X" lists: each list gets who to write to and a draft email. See citation analysis.
- The site has no comparison or alternatives pages, so AI takes the answer to those questions from a competitor's page.
- The pricing page is drawn by JavaScript or shows no price, so the engine quotes the price from other sites, sometimes an old one.
- Docs and the help centre are closed to bots. See the AI bot access checker.
- AI states something wrong about the product: the fact accuracy check shows whether engines get your business details right.
How do you get the data to your team and tools?
The weekly report arrives by email; share links and Excel export are on Growth and above. On Pro and Agency, the read-only API and MCP server bring the results into your own dashboard or AI assistant.
What are the limits?
- Three engines are measured: ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Claude and Copilot are not.
- It does not measure your G2 or Capterra ratings, trial signups or conversion.
- Google AI Mode and AI Overviews are not measured. The dashboard does not connect to your traffic or sales. A recommendation is never guaranteed.
Scope and plans
The free trial measures 10 questions once on three engines, with no card. Paid plans measure weekly: Lite 10 questions ($29), Starter 25 ($79), Growth 50 ($199), Pro 150 questions ($499).
If you have several products, each counts as a separate brand; the Pro plan includes 3 brands.
